Happy New Year!
We were up this morning before 7:00AM. Music and bottle rockets were going off until early this morning but we must have been tired as we slept really well.
Larry went to his class, I walked over to see how he was doing but it was over before I got there. I asked him if he wanted to go to WALA WALA’s for breakfast, great way to start the New Year. So we did. Breakfast was 125 pesos which would be less than $12.50 US.
The weather here today was much better than it has been the last few days. We decided to go to the beach. We couldn’t believe how many more people were at the beach today, not being a weekend. Ok so it is the first day of the year.
Most of the time one of us sets in the café to watch our things but we went way down the beach where there were only a few people and we were able to go into the water together. We were not so worried about our things that it was really nice to be able to be in the water at together. I have a fear of the waves so it is nice to have Larry with me when I am in the water. I did go out farther than he did for a short time.
I hope that we will be able to go to the beach more now that we have found a place that we feel safe at leaving our bikes and backpacks at.
We went to the plaza, visited with our friends, bought some pina juice, and had a hamburger.
It was a really nice day. We hope to be able to keep going to the beach more. That is something that we really want to do, we just seem to get lazy.
