March 1, 2009 Sunday Domingo
The weather here is getting warmer. I have been real lazy, not doing anymore than I have too.

Last Tuesday we did go to the club for steak dinner. The steaks are only 75 pesos on Tuesday nights, other nights they are 100 pesos. This still is a good price for the steaks. These steaks are almost an inch thick, which is hard to find here in Mexico. Larry also had a beer and I had a coke. Dinner also comes with a nice salad. We spent 175 pesos for our dinner.

It was also Fat Tuesday, there was a Mardi Gras parade, that we got to watch from the terrace while eating our dinner. After the parade they had a band playing in the plaza until late.
We have been riding our bikes to Kenos economico but did not find him open until this last Thursday. We had another great lunch and were able to pay him for the last time we were there. He didn’t have any change then and wouldn’t take our money. So now we are all paid up for the meals we have had there. I gave him 128 pesos for the 4 meals.

Friday we went to a party that Sherry and Lew give. They provide the food and drinks. They also had a band that is from San Blas playing. While the music is loud, they were very good.
I went to the bank this week to get money from the ATM. I got 5000.00 pesos, then checked to see how much in US dollars was withdrawn, $347.20, the exchange rate is over 14.5.

This young lady had been performing on the plaza. As the town is getting ready for Mardi Gras.
