On Saturday the 6th they held San Blas Day. They normally start the procession at 1:00pm but this year it started at 5:00pm. It had less people in it than normal too. I didn’t go down to the docks to watch the boats go out so I have no idea how many boats went out. They didn’t stay out as long either as they were back before dark.
We watched then put the tower togather for the fireworks
We decided to wait until 9:00pm before going to the plaza to watch the fireworks. We should have gone down earlier so we could get a good place to watch. We couldn’t see the entire tower so I decided to come back home and watch what we could from our back patio.
Sunday the 7th Larry went for a morning bike ride to the beach. He said the roads still had water standing in some places clear across, and about 6-8inches deep. There was a truck that had tried to make a U turn but did it too sharp and ran into a big potted tree sometime during the night, the truck was still on top of the pot.
For dinner we went to the cocodrilo for spaghetti. We order for one and share. The meal was 65 pesos. With the exchange rate close to 13 that’s around $5.00 for a meal for two.
