Jan 18 & 19 Tuxtla
Very large city. bus was $308 to get here from Juchitan, first class, thats $30.80.
We are staying in the Hotel Casablanca $214 (21.40) a night, staying two nights.
In the morning we went to the zoo. What a great zoo. Sometimes you wonder who is in the cage or were does the cage start and do they know they are in a cage. In fact some of the lesser dangerous ones were not in a cage.
I did find myself looking up a lot to make sure no monkeys were above us. At one time some kind of frut fell out of a very tall tree and landed right next to me. It made a very loud splat sound when it hit the ground. I am so glad it missed me, it would have hurt and there was a big purple stain were it hit the ground. Zoo was free.
We then went on a boat ride down the Cañon del Sumidero. The boat ride was $200. ($20.00).
We saw crock's and a lot of other birds. The cliff's above us were anywere from 500 to 2000 feet. This is a great trip.
