Thursday of last week brought the sun back. We have had wonderful sunny days again.
Larry bought another fish that he paid 30 pesos for that we had for our dinner for two days. Yesterday I bought half a cooked chicken for 30 pesos that would have been our meal for two days but a Mexican stopped to talk with us last night and Larry gave him the leftover chicken to eat.
Our landlord, Tony’s mother died on Tuesday. Her funeral was today. I have never been to a Mexican funeral before. We walked in the procession to the cemetery. There was a band that played while we walked and at the grave site.
We went to a new little café to eat. Larry and I had omelets for 35 pesos each. We spent less than $7.00 for a very good meal. Looking at the menu the highest price for anything is 40 pesos. We are going back and try something else. Not sure when as we bought some bacon and a tomato to make sandwiches with.
