San Cristobal day 2

Ride to Caballos is a real trip (horse back ride). 2 hours up, 1 hour in Caballos and 2 hours back.
It's not a ride that I woud say you should do if you don't ride horses. Also if you know how to ride but not have ridden in a long time, keep in mind you need to know that the horses want to take over and take off at any given time.
I do know how to ride, but I had not rode in a long time and forgot to keep my mount in check and 30 minutes into our ride, lost controle of the ride and let the horse take controle of the ride. My back was hurting for the rest of the ride, and for the next month.
The people in Caballos are shorter than me. They are an anverage of 5'6".
It was a Sunday which ment that it was a market day and people form all of the villages close by were there to sell, or party, or what ever.
their clothing is very coloverful, but you need to take care if you want to take pictures of them as they belive that you take away their soles too.
It was a great day, would have been better if I had not hurt my back.
I was so glad to have the extra blankets, it was very cold at night, and hurting my back, the blankets helped to warm it up.
