May 2 2007

Yesterday we went to the city of McMinnville to Lowe's to get things needed for our projects. For the porch and walk outside we bought concrete 4 bags @ $2.69 for $10.76. 112 foot board for $12.57 and 4 10 foot boards @ $9.87 for $39.48, all for a total of $62.81. But we didn't stop there.
For the bathroom we bought one bathtub for $748.00, in line heater for the tub, $209.00, one window for $167.00, and a wax ring for the toilet for $1.24, a total of $1,125.24.
So when we got home we found that the drain kit was not included as it should be, and we will need to get an overflow kit. We are also going to need to get tile for the walls. This has turned out to be a bigger project than I thought it would be. But then I am also reminding myself that I could have gone with the other tub which would have been more, and I didn't get a new faucet.
It was my choice for which tub to get, if I had gotten the bigger one I wouldn't have a toilet in my bathroom and after two nights of finding my way to the other bathroom I decided that I really want a toilet in my bathroom.
We wanted to make this changes to my bathroom but we just hadn't planned on doing it right now.
We haven't been able to start on the changes as the weather here got real bad today. We had rain, wind and hail. This weekend should be better.
