January 17, 2009 Saturday sábado
Larry took our laundry down to have done around 8:30 this morning. They told him it won’t be done until 7:00.

We went to the Saturday market to get our vegetables for the next few day, 2 potatoes, 1 avocado, 6 limes, 2 cucumbers and some strawberries for 20 pesos. At another vendor we got toilet paper (4 roll pack), instant coffee, and a small can of mushrooms for 60 pesos.

We were looking for a pair of shorts for Larry but couldn’t find any he liked. We did find a pair I thought I could ware, they are a size bigger than what I get at home but they are real tight around my waist and big for my butt and legs, they were 40 pesos.

At noon we started out for the beach, stopping in to see if Ann and Doug wanted to go. Doug was feeling a little better so they decided to go with us. They don’t have bikes, and had to walk.
We found the palapa we wanted to set at. Bridget showed up right after we did. We would have put our bikes on the outside of the palapa but Bridget took hers right in to where she was going to set so we did too.

Bridget’s friends were there too. They are also from Canada, he does not speak a lot of English, but he was really trying with us.

It was not too long after we were there that Doug and Ann showed up. Most of us went into the water. Larry stayed with us for a while but went back to the palapa with the other guys.
After our swim, and drying of in the sun we ordered lunch. Larry had fish and I had shrimp. Lunch for both was 190 pesos. Larry had 1 beer and I had a coke with lunch.

We stayed under budget today, pesos was 310, less than $31.00 US
