January 20, 2009 Tuesday martes
Ann was here at 7 to go walking. I had over slept and was not even dressed, so did not go walking.

The weather looked better today so we decided we would go to the beach, in the afternoon.
The palapa restaurant we decided to set in must have been closed as no one came to ask if we wanted anything. Larry went out in the water right away but I waited for Ann and Doug to show up. We sat in the palapa for quite some time before Ann and I decided to set out in the sun. However the sun was hiding behind clouds most of the time. When we finely decided to go into the water we only went in knee deep. We said the water was cold but we also realized that we would not be dry by the time we were ready to go back home.

The four of us went to the social club for steak dinner. I thought Bridget was going to show up but she had told me not to wait for her. The prices for the steaks have changed. They dropped from 125 pesos to 99 pesos, and up on Tuesday nights to 75 pesos. It is still a good price. We all ordered our steaks medium rare, I know mine should have been cooked a little more, and if we had been setting where there was more light so we could have seen how they looked we would have asked for them to be cooked a little longer.

We all went to the plaza to say hi to everone.

January 19, 2009 Monday lunes
It was cloudy this morning and humid. We did go to Tai Chi class but because of the humidity we cut it short.

Val and Ray showed up to visit today. They are staying about ten miles out of town. We had a very nice visit with them.

I walked down town with them to show them were the bakery had moved too. Then went to see how Ann and Doug were doing. Ann and I walked to the rotisserie chicken place to get some cooked chicken and baked potatoes.

Larry and I went to the plaza, had ice cream as we hadn’t had any for a while. Larry went home early. I stayed to talk with some of our new friends before going back home.
