Dec 4

Cought the collectivo to Los Vergas to go to the bank. There was a line, it took us an hour to get the money from the ATM and to go into the bank to get the big bills exchanged into smaller ones. The colloctivo was $20 pesos both ways for both of us. Thats $40.
Tacos and drink $26. Hat for me $50.
We had Tortias at Mar 3 when we got back for $35, it is a very good sandwich.
It tried to rain when we were on the beach anyway we could feel the drops and there was a bueatful rainbow to the east and a bueatful sunset to the west.
Cost for the day was $15.00.

Dec 3

We were up by 7:30 this morning. Very good nights sleep as we were very tired from traveling.
Found an internet down town, I e-mailed everone that we had made it here ok. $20 pesos an hour, $2.00 an hour. He only charged me $7. pesos as I didn´t use a full hour.
We had quessadla´s for $59. pesos.
Went swimming, the water is a good temp, just right for swimming.
Larry bought Cigerattes for $17. pesos
We spent $6.77.
We finished the fish that he had bought yesterday. It was very good.

Dec. 2

Walked down town and I do mean down. The grade of the street going down town is about 6%, cobble stone. Our Breakfast was $73 = $7.30. We found the fish market and bought a fish for $50. = $5.00.
At the store we bought cooking oil, limons or limes, milk, and an avacado for $25. = $2.50.
Andee found us at breakfast, was really nice to finnley meet her. In the afternoon we walked up to her place and gave her some books that I had brought here for her. We watched the sunset from her tessa, then she showed us a short cut to our place.
Our total for the day was $14.80.

Dec 1st

We got up early to catch our ride to the airport. We lucked out and had no rain, snow or frezzing rain on our 60 mile trip to the airport.
We had a two hour lay-over in San Francisco. Whitch I was not exepcting. But had we cought the flight we were to get our luggage would not have arrived with us in PV.
We spent $40 peso,s for the city bus to get to the bus station for the bus to take us to Los Vergas. The last collecto to Chacala had already left when we got there, so we had to take a Taxi which was $90 peso´s.
The bus from PV to Los Vergas was $100 pesos.
$15 pesos for soft drinks
$255 pesos = $25.50 and the lunch I had on the plane was $5.00 so we spent $30.50 for our first day. Would have been less but we had some problem with the city bus and had to pay twice to get to the bus station.

Dec in Chacala

We arrived in Chacala safe and sound. We had a small problam with the bus and ended up paying for a bus ride we took but diden´t need to.
The people here are wonderful. Everyone is so helpful and nice.
We buy food at the store or off the trucks that come around with there wares to sell.
So far we have averaged $15.00 a day. Only one day have we gone above the $20.00 we want to average.
I try to have two meals at our Cassa. Larry goes to the store in the morning and brings back pastery. Spends $.40 for it. We make sandwiches or have papays for lunch then for dinner we go down town to have dinner. Most evenings we spend $4.00 for dinner. We have had a real good shrimp dinner for $7.00.
We have been swimming almost every day.
Andee has been a great help. Her blog is My Life in Chacala, it is a great site.
