Bathroom

My new bathroom is almost done. He has the cider boards up and will be working on the outside siding tomorrow. I have used my new tub twice now, it is wonderful.
the only thing that I am worried about is the birds. Swallows have discovered the holes in the wall. We have blocked all the holes that they have showed an interest in, to build nests. We really don't want them to start a nest then get blocked out from it.
We love having birds here and will do what we need to, to keep them happy.

We can now devide our land into 5 acre parcles. This will be a great retirement fund for us.
Today I bought our airline tickets to Mexico, 12/03/07, returning 4/8/08, for $730.40, $20.00 less than what we spent last year. I looked after I booked and could have booked on 11/03/07 for the same price.
We have one person at this time willing to lease one of our lots, at a lower price, and take care of our place while we are gone. I know he will watch out for our home.

Today we put the new tub in the bathroom. It's not plumbed in or plugged in but it is in the room. Larry has to make some changes with the electric outlets and some other adjustments to the plumbing before it can be used. We had to take the outside wall out to be able to put the tub in. Which is OK as we are also going to put in a new window.
Now we are worried about our hot water heater. It's not putting out the amount of hot water it has in the past. I think that one of the heating elements may have brunet out. I hope that's all that is wrong with it and Larry can fix it. It just seems like so many things are going wrong.
We have this big hole in my bathroom wall, the weather people say we are going to have good weather but tonight some really dark clouds are rolling in. We don't need any rain.
I am leaving early Friday morning to go to Sultan Washington, so I won't be able to help Larry with my bathroom. This trip is not one that I am looking forward to as it is for a funeral for a cousin.
Hope we don't have to buy a new hot water heater.

Yesterday we went to the city of McMinnville to Lowe's to get things needed for our projects. For the porch and walk outside we bought concrete 4 bags @ $2.69 for $10.76. 112 foot board for $12.57 and 4 10 foot boards @ $9.87 for $39.48, all for a total of $62.81. But we didn't stop there.
For the bathroom we bought one bathtub for $748.00, in line heater for the tub, $209.00, one window for $167.00, and a wax ring for the toilet for $1.24, a total of $1,125.24.
So when we got home we found that the drain kit was not included as it should be, and we will need to get an overflow kit. We are also going to need to get tile for the walls. This has turned out to be a bigger project than I thought it would be. But then I am also reminding myself that I could have gone with the other tub which would have been more, and I didn't get a new faucet.
It was my choice for which tub to get, if I had gotten the bigger one I wouldn't have a toilet in my bathroom and after two nights of finding my way to the other bathroom I decided that I really want a toilet in my bathroom.
We wanted to make this changes to my bathroom but we just hadn't planned on doing it right now.
We haven't been able to start on the changes as the weather here got real bad today. We had rain, wind and hail. This weekend should be better.
