We had a county man come out to check out the test holes for the septic for Dave's home. He was very young.
Haven't said anything about the mobile Dave bought. It has been moved onto the lot. We had a lot of problems with that. Our gate has an arch, the top of the arch is 14 feet, which is the legal load height. But the home was 14 feet 3 inches. So we had to lift the top of the arch. Which meant destroying the bolt that was on one side allowing us to rise the arch. took over 2 hours to do this, as the bolt had been in place for 30 years, it was RUSTED. We found a bolt to replace the one that had to be taken out. I feel that the people that brought the house here should have replaced the bolt and repaired the arch but we did it.
The home is in place, now we need to get a septic approval. Which we have, we now need to apply for the permit for the septic. We had to pay $390.00 for the approval, that was just for the man to come out to look at the holes we dug, to tell us if we could put in a septic system and what kind we would need to put in.
I have a hard time with all of this, I own the land yet I have to ask permission to do anything I want to with it. It is going to be at least $3000.00 to $15000.00 for a septic system, not including the cost for the permits.
Dave wants to be movied in by the end of July, which he will be able to do if we get a sepcit system in by then.

My new bathroom is done. The jacuzzi tub is so relaxing to use. The only downside to it is I have to run only hot water into it. It takes a half hour to fill, it takes all the hot water in the hot water heater as the water running into the tub is cold when it is full enough to turn the jets on. I do have an in line hot water heater that will keep the water hot. We spent about $2000.00 for the new bathroom.
As I have said we now have the rights to divide our land into five acre lots. I have already found someone who wants to rent one of the lots. He is so excited about being able to move here that he has bought a small mobile home (37X10) to place on the lot. They want to move it out here next week.
We don't have the lot ready for it yet but are going to start in the morning. We don't even have the septic approval yet but this mobile will be able to be moved to a place that will get the approval. The site were we are going to have it placed should not have any problems getting approvals. We (renter included) are willing to look at all kinds of septic options.
The next few weeks are going to be busy.
